Core Philosophies

  • Engineering Education is our primary goal – and we do it well.

  • Students learn Engineering by Practicing Engineering

  • – Experiential Learning Labs include: Materials Processing, Problem Solving w/ Computers, Measurement Instrumentation & Control, Engineering Design Graphics, Thermo-Fluids Lab I & II, Mechanics Lab, Material Science Lab, ACT Lab, Numerical Methods, System Dynamics

  • Class sizes are modest

  • – Typically 8-12 students in labs, approx. 36 students in ME lectures, studio labs around 24 students

  • Co-op is an integral aspect of our program, and is mandatory

  • Offer sufficient options and electives to allow students to customize their education
