missing word. Students read the rest and decide on the
missing words. Elicit the complete captions to check.

Then ask volunteers to read the speech bubbles below
the photographs. Students then take turns choosing
a photograph and asking and answering as in the
example.

Tell the students to look at the words in
bold and the
arrows. Play the recording, pausing after the “strong”
words to show the up and down movement by pointing.
Then play the sentence for the second time and pause
for students to repeat, encouraging them to copy the
stress and intonation.
