Duties


The Director, Service Management is responsible for oversight of IT Service Management underpinned by contract and operational management of Geoscience Australia’s ICT service providers, secure gateway provider and ICT Service Management support staff.
This role is accountable for the design, implementation and ongoing maintenance of business processes that interact with end users and are operated by outsourced providers. This will include ensuring that all changes to business processes are clearly communicated and change managed across the Entity. The role will be accountable for all facets of vendor management associated with all ICT service providers. This entails ensuring strong working partnerships are maintained, target service levels are achieved and value of contracts are maximised.

Eligibility


To be eligible for this position you must be an Australian Citizen at the closing date of application.
The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting Level One security clearance or hold a current security clearance of an appropriate level.
Commencement of employment is subject to the successful applicant undergoing and satisfying a police history check.

Duties


The role of the People and Communications Group is to provide leading edge specialist HR, strategic change and strategic communication expertise.
The People Services section is comprised of two teams to manage the health and performance management functions. The performance management functions include performance improvement, code of conduct, investigations and review of action. The Health Management functions include Work Health & Safety (WHS), wellbeing, injury management and teleworking.
The WHS Advisor is responsible for providing interpretive advice to stakeholders on WHS matters, maintaining the WHS Management System and delivering wellbeing initiatives.
Job specific capabilities:


  • Demonstrated experience with health and safety management systems and health and wellbeing initiatives.

  • Demonstrated experience in providing interpretive advice to stakeholders and management representatives on legislative, regulatory or procedural matters and managing the resolution of issues.

  • Demonstrated experience in auditing health and safety management systems.

  • Experience in coordinating and facilitating consultative committees and forums.

  • Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Supervisory experience.



Eligibility


Desired:

  • Advanced Diploma of Work Health and Safety; or

  • Diploma of Work Health and Safety; or

  • Lead Auditor qualification.

Mandatory:



  • Experience in a WHS practitioner’s role
