Marlis Prinzing is lecturer at the University of Fribourg. Before, she was project director at the EJO (European Journalism Observatory) and now she continues working for EJO as a web-editor. She works as a freelancer (e.g.: Die Zeit, Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Neue Zürcher Zeitung und Rheinischer Merkur) and talkmaster (www.das-rote-sofa.de). For twelve years she worked as an editor for a German newspaper. She teaches, among others, journalism at Akademie fuer Publizistik Hamburg, the Universities of Tuebingen and Berne. She studied Political science, History and Mathematics at the universities of Regensburg and Tuebingen. Her doctoral thesis dealt with a case study concerning a power plant in the context of the development of electrification and energy policy (ABB-Wissenschaftspreis 2000).
