Duties


The Bureau is currently seeking to employ an environmental data engineer to support the collection and analysis of environmental data to support the delivery of its information products. The positions, within the Environmental Data Unit, will support the product business owners in the collection, storage, management, access and analysis of data that underpins key products including the National Water Account and the Water in Australia.
The role will require familiarity with the collection, management and analysis of data and the application of statistical, hydrological and water resource management principles to develop and deliver database applications. The successful candidates’ primary duties will be to engineer and support database applications for the collection, storage, and analysis of environmental data obtained by the Bureau, including data obtained under the Water Act 2007.
The ideal candidate will have excellent database skills, experience developing systems for operational data collection and analysis, and an applied knowledge of the water sector. They will also be enthusiastic about developing their professional skills, operate effectively in high performing teams, be able to communicate clearly with a range of people and be service delivery focused.

Eligibility


  1. A degree or diploma of an Australian educational institution, or a comparable overseas qualification, which is appropriate to the duties; OR

  2. Eligibility for graduate membership of, or registration by, a professional body, which is appropriate to the duties to be performed AND a graduate diploma in Librarianship of an Australian institution, or a comparable overseas qualification which is appropriate to the duties to be performed; OR

  3. Other comparable qualifications, which are appropriate to the duties.

Duties


We are looking for a motivated, proactive professional interested in Employee Wellbeing to manage a variety of administration and financial tasks and projects for our team.
In this position you will have the opportunity to interact with a wide range of staff and be part of a team developing skills, providing training and advice to help employee wellbeing.
The successful candidate will be required to manage the workplace contact officer network by developing and arranging training, running network meetings and providing advice and support to the Network.
You will also provide support to the team with procurement and invoice processing.
The role provides administration advice and support to the Assistant Director, Injury Case Managers, the WCO Network and employees of the Department on Wellbeing issues.

Eligibility


The successful applicant must be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
