Duties




The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting a highly motivated, experienced officer to fill the role of Assistant Director Security Policy within the Security Branch.


The Assistant Director Security Policy will play a key role in the design, coordination and delivery of Security Branch activities associated with policy development, governance and reporting. This position will offer opportunities to exercise research and analytical skills in a challenging environment, across a range of projects and areas.
The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate sound judgement and strong environmental awareness. The ability to establish, maintain and enhance stakeholder relationships, along with the promoting and cultivating innovative organisational change is imperative for the incumbent of this position. They will also have extensive experience in policy relating to the management of protective security, including demonstrated experience in the administration of security operations in a Commonwealth environment.

Eligibility


The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance.
