53. The historical method is a method in which the emergence and development of the object of study as a 
process are studied. 
54. The systemic method is usually used in the complex study of complex objects since it requires 
consideration of the object of study as a system of internal relationships of its components and their relationships with 
external factors. It is necessary to study each element of the system, establish the essence of its interconnections with 
other elements and trace its influence on the system as a whole and its connection with other systems. For example, if 
we study the lexical system of the English language, then we need to highlight individual lexemes, identify their 
relationships, the impact on the system as a whole and the relationship, for example, with the grammar system.
55. Formalization is a method of studying objects in which their structure is expressed in sign form using 
artificial languages, and research is based on operations with these signs (for example, using formulas).

56. Abstraction is a method in which a scientist does not take into consideration certain properties of the 
studied object, highlighting only characteristics that interests him. Using this method, a scientist can identify several 
objects of research, abstracting from the differences between them; or highlight the individual properties of the object 
as the subject of your research. 
57. Generalization is a method in which a scientist establishes the general properties of some objects of 
study. 
58. General logical methods are analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction, analogy. The analysis involves 
the decomposition of the object of study into components parts. 
59. The analysis method is supplemented by the synthesis method, in which the disparate parts are combined 
into a single whole, due to which new properties of the object can be revealed.
