Duties
The Australian Defence Force Warfare Training Centre (ADFWTC) is seeking an APS4 Foreign Training Coordination and Liaison Officer (FLO).The Defence White Paper 2016 identified that Defence will increase international engagement, including through the delivery of training. This position is funded until 30 June 2019 in order to improve accessibility for students intending to attend ADFWTC courses. The FLO will provide a single point of contact for all interactions with
foreign students attending, or intending to attend, courses conducted by the ADFWTC.
Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at 'Negative Vetting Level 1'.

Duties
EL2 Engineering Professional: Land Engineering Agency (LEA) ensures that the technical integrity of land combat capability is attained and maintained over its entire lifecycle at affordable cost. LEA achieves this through the application of specialist and systems engineering expertise to ensure the soldier is delivered equipment that is safe to operate, fit for purpose and meets environmental regulations.
In this role you will be required to apply engineering expertise across a broad range of technologies including
combat protective equipment, body armour, helmets, protective eye wear, the soldier combat ensemble, night vision equipment and weapons which will be used by the soldier as part of the Integrated Soldier System. This position is a senior specialist engineering position which provides engineering leadership across the engineering workforce in the Integrated Soldier Systems Branch.
Eligibility
The applicant must possess a 4 year Degree or higher in a field related to Mechanical, Mechatronic, Aerospace, Communications or Electronic-Electrical Engineering under the Australian Qualifications Framework or comparable
overseas qualification; or other qualifications comparable to those referred above, which, in the opinion of the delegate are appropriate to the duties of the position; and meets the eligibility requirements for membership or registration by Engineers Australia.
